Gem's Souvenirs

One of the joys of travelling is finding unique treasures to take back home and keep as a reminder of exciting adventures and good times abroad. Whether it be a memento found in a flea market, from a local artisan or even something a little bit kitsch, all add flavour and contribute to your interior style.

Below are some examples of how you can display and be creative with some of the souvenirs brought back from far away lands or even just a long weekend away out of town.

1. Gallery Wall

A great way to display an eclectic collection of souvenirs is by creating a gallery hang using a cluster of items such as photos, art, objects and textiles to create a unique and tactile feature in your home. It tells a thousand tales and no one else will have anything like it. Renting? no problems as those 3M hooks are genius and allow you to be flexible with your placement of each piece, and without leaving a trace.

2. Art

Art makes for a beautiful memento to bring home from any trip. Not only is usually nice and portable, it will make for a timeless piece in your home that will last a lifetime. Simply place your new artwork with any existing pieces to create an eclectic mix in your home.

3. Textiles

Textiles are another easy and gorgeous item to bring back from any sort of travel experience. Cushion covers and throws will instantly add a global look to your home. Textile pieces can even be hung on a wall to create a highly graphic and unique focal point in your home.
